- PCC Offers an easy to install solution for those who want to add a door option to an existing PCC-manufactured bucket. We will provide detailed instructions with pictures on how to install our aftermarket door in an existing bucket. PCC's door features a welded steel frame to protect the bucket and add strength that also provides a secure mounting point for the door system. For safety there is a steel chain with a d-ring catch that goes across the opening, the actual door latch itself, and finally a safety strap on a d-ring catch that secures the door to the frame in the unlikely event that the door latch fails. The door has room for tool pouches or a heater if desired (not included).
*Also available with the hinge on the right of the opening if that fits your set up better.
*Disclaimer: Adding this door kit to an existing bucket that was not manufactured by PCC may cause the bucket to fail inspection.
This door kit was easy to install. Just make sure it is exactly where you want it . I added a few extra bolts on the frame ,just to make sure it didn't put to much strain on the Bucket Fiberglass. Also if you space out the bolts from the fiberglass with stainless washers or(I used strips of the part of the door I cut out) it seems to work and fit better. I have used this door for over a year now and at 72 years old it is soooooo much easier to get in and out of my bucket.. I highly recommend this product. I use my truck for telephone and fiber work , not for Electrical as no liner can be used in the bucket.
