Bucket Cover - 28" x 51" Edge to Edge - Folding Hard Top

Bucket Cover - 28" x 51" Edge to Edge - Folding Hard Top for Two Man Buckets

Part #: 50532303

The future is here! The folding vinyl cover combines all the best features of currently available bucket covers into 1 easy to use solution. With plastic polycomb support slats, this cover is sturdy enough to keep water from pooling (like a plastic hardshell or foam filled cover), but then also folds up to save space (like a traditional vinyl cover). The cover is held in place by a nylon strap that runs around the bucket opening under the lip which is then tightened with a buckle. At the end of the strap is a clip to use as a backup safety measure or while the bucket is in use.

Designed for two man buckets with an inside measurement of approximately 24" x 48". Actual outside lip to lip measurement is approximately 28" x 51". (See Bucket Cover Measuring Guide)

Super satisfied!

I have used a 50' Pitman Hotstick single man bucket truck for years. A little less than 3 years ago we acquired an Altec 55' two man bucket truck. I wanted to keep it nice so I started looking for covers. Initially I looked at Altec's website. As I searched other websites I came across Plastic Composite's website. The foldable cover, model number 50532303, had good reviews and was reasonably priced, so I ordered one. I have been very pleased with it. It slips nicely on the bucket and secures to the truck and keeps the rain out. The only complaint was that after several years in the elements, the strap became weathered and broke. The cover was still in "like new" condition, and useable even with the broken strap. I contacted Plastic Composites and was informed that they did have replacement straps on their website, in the unlikely event one broke. Jason Minke, suggested I try their new cover since the flaps on the side were a little longer. Since our truck is used for electrical work as well as tree trimming, we have a tool pouch that hangs inside the bucket, with hooks over the outside. Jason was right. The new cover was easier to slip over the bucket, even with the hooks on the lip. I was told it could be a couple weeks before they shipped the new cover, but it arrived in 3 days. I am very satisfied with Plastic Composite's customer service and their covers. They are very well made and keep the rain out of the buckets. Incidentally, the replacement strap threaded into my first cover in less than 5 minutes. Plastic Composites in the best!

Altec 2 man bucket

Finally got tired of scooping rain out of my bucket before every tree job, this fits my full size 2 man bucket almost perfectly. The only hangup is where the bucket rotates out next to the control panel but that's more of an altec design than an issue with this cover. I would rate the design of cover at 4.5 starts. All in all if this cover lasts a couple of years it'll be worth the cost, 10 minutes saved after every rain will add up quickly, cover takes less than a minute to install and removes in seconds, wouldn't try driving with it on but the stitching for straps seems durable. because it doesn't protect any of my controls (which would have been a bonus because I wasn't expecting it to) and the stitching securing the supporting planks appears to be fairly light duty so not sure how long it'll hold up but will try to update in the future.

Worth the money

This isn't the chepeast cover i've had but it's a great value really. Big step up from the elastic covers I've had and easier to use. Just make sure to get the strap shuffled around the first time to get it tight under the rim then its really easy after that. Love not having to come out and dump water anymore!
